Middle of the night, terrible dream about cutting the 'bad' flesh off a friend's stomach with a scalpel, I wake up uneasy. Pitch black. My new room is very dark - blackout curtains against wooden blinds. No light at all. I reach for the lamp switch, click it and BANG! There's a flash of light and an explosion, then pitch black again. I almost had a heart attack. In the morning I discover that my Edison Small Screw (SES/E14) light bulb decided to blow the glass bulb out and apart from the 14mm screw base, which is still firmly screwed into the lamp. It appears to be caught by a single filament, else it would have rocketed, afire and ablaze, across the dark sky of my bedroom.
